Playing with light and a crystal

A crystal or crystalline solid

is a solid material, whose constituent atoms, molecules, or ions are arranged in an orderly repeating pattern extending in all three spatial dimensions. The scientific study of crystals and crystal formation is crystallography. The process of crystal formation via mechanisms of crystal growth is called crystallization or solidification. The word crystal is derived from the ancient Greek word κρύσταλλος (krustallos), which had the same meaning, but according to the ancient understanding of crystal. At root it means anything congealed by freezing, such as ice.^[1] The word once referred particularly to quartz, or "rock crystal".

Most metals encountered in everyday life are polycrystals. Crystals are often symmetrically intergrown to form crystal twins.

Today is a beautiful day again in Florida, the temps are in the 70's and now we are heading out to the beach. Hubby need some fresh air to breath - and me too....smile...

Hi my friends,

these Christmas pictures were made in Key West, Florida.
Yes, that's THE "crazy" place down on the road at the end of the rainbow and at the end of everything!

We were living down there for many years and enjoyed all the craziness. We left that piece of paradise before we went to "crazy" too....LOL... Living there was a great, fun time for both of us. But, everything comes to an end once and then it's time to discover new horizons. We left the island and moved up more North and started to plan our travels.

It's called with other words: Follow your dreams!
And that was exactly what we did, we followed our dreams and started traveling.

This is a picture of the beautifully decorated Cypress-House in Key West. Everyone walking around town stops here to see and enjoy all the lights as they dream about a white Christmas up north.

Diese zauberhaft schoene Dekoration stammt vom Cypresshaus in Key West. Ob Gross ob Klein, jedermann bleibt dort mit offenen Augen stehen und geniesst freudenstrahlend diesen maerchenhaften Lichterschmuck am ganzen Haus. Man glaubt sogar, die Engel singen zu hoeren.... wenn man genau hinhoert!
