If you have not been in Sloppy Joe's, you have not been in Key West

Here you can meet the legendary Captain Tony himself, an ex mayor of Key West, an all around colorful character in every respect.

This is the meeting point of all parrot heads, big fans of the singer
Jimmy Buffet.

For a good Island food you have to dine out here in the lush garden of "Pepe's".

And after all your strolling up and down Duval and all the other streets, come to the "Green Parrot Bar" and have some beers, hang out with the locals and listen to the great live bands.

Five things to do in Key West - Tour 3

Take a ride with the Conch train. It will guide you to all the landmarks of Key West and trough some of the picturesque little lanes with the pretty small conch houses.

Climb up the steps from the light house at Whitehead Street- across from the Hemingway house - to see the fantastic view over the island and to visit the museum inside.

Visit the "Secret Garden" a very nice and peacefull place to be. It's a quiet place in the middle of the island, away from every days hectic life and noise. Relax and enjoy the beauty of this tropical garden.

Have a drink or two in Sloppy Joe's Bar at Duval Street, the place where also Ernest Hemingway liked to hang out with friends.

Celebrate the sunset at Mallory Square where Performers, Magicians, Fire eater and Musicians are performing their shows every evening and where artists and craft persons are selling their work, like I do selling my photography to all the tourists. Come down there and see me.

Key West is a well known destination for Bikers who are driving down to the island from allover the U.S. Everyday you can see these shiny polished, impressive and most time just very loud Harleys (and others too) roaming up and down Duval Street. See and to be seen is everything for a biker, I guess...

Jedes Jahr findet hier in Key West die "Biker Week" statt, was immer Hunderte von Motorraedern aller Groessen und Marken auf die Insel bringt. Aber auch unterm Jahr sieht man viele dieser "heissen Stuehle" Duvalstrasse unueberhoerbar auf und ab rohren. Sehen und gesehen werden.... da schlaegt jedes Bikers Herz schneller!

These are the two most famous bars on Duval Street. Ernest Hemingway himself was visiting often Sloppy Joe's Bar. In both bars are live bands entertaining the tourists up to early hours in the mornings. In Captain Tony's Saloon you can meet on certain days the legendary Capt.Tony himself who was celebrating last year his 90. birthday and was a good friend of Hemingway.

Das sind die zwei beruehmtesten Bars an Duval Street, wo Live-Unterhalter aufspielen bis in die fruehen Morgenstunden. Auch Ernst Hemingway verkehrte gerne und oft hier. Im Captain Tony's Saloon kann man heute noch den legendaeren, bereits ueber 90 Jahre alten Captain Tony an gewissen Tagen antreffen und seine immer noch unuebersehbare Leidenschaft fuer Frauen mitverfolgen. Hemingway und er waren gute Freunde.

Conch train tours in Key West is a must to do. This will give you a small impression about our pretty island with all the pretty conch houses and the beaches, the small pittoresque lanes, the landmarks of Key West and of course all the famous bars on Duval Street.
